Domaine des Bosquets Gigondas

Wine Enthusiast 94 points - Traditional Rhone varieties like Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre and Cinsault are augmented by a small proportion of Petite Syrah in this wine. Seductive on the nose, it offers perfumes of rose petal and creme de cassis accented by clove and thyme. Glossy blackberry flavor broods on the palate and finishes on ripe, velvety tannins. Lovely already, the wine should improve through 2030. 

Jeb Dunnuck 91 points - 91-93 - I always love the classic cuvee from this estate and the 2017 Gigondas doesn’t appear to be an exception. A blend of 40% Grenache, 35% Syrah, 20% Mourvedre, and the rest Cinsault, aged in a mix of tank and mostly older barrels, it has a peppery, spicy bouquet of red and black fruits as well as full-bodied richness, beautiful balance, and remarkable purity. It’s a beautiful wine.
