Vinous 90 points - A Malbec mixed with 10% Merlot from Mainque, Rio Negro, aged in 20% new barrels. Bright violet in the glass. The nose offers notes of sour cherry, plum, herbs and a novel, bloody profile. An elemental wine displaying complementary oaky hints. Rich in the mouth, it has active, gentle tannins to which the Merlot adds a little spice and texture. Juicy and medium-bodied, with acid that leaves a tingle at the back of the throat, and a long, fruity aftertaste. A classical wine.
